What is DETAIL inspiration?

DETAIL inspiration is an online database for architects and civil engineers. It includes documentation for more than 3,700 projects from more than 30 years of DETAIL. Focused on detail in construction and architecture, it is a high-quality source of research and inspiration. We offer trial, monthly, annual, or combined subscriptions (i.e. in combination with a print subscription).

How can I subscribe to DETAIL inspiration?

How do I take out a trial subscription and what terms and conditions apply?

You have the opportunity to test DETAIL inspiration free of charge and without obligation for 1 month. Simply order the trial subscription at: https://shop.detail.de/auto/detail-inspiration-501

If you like our database, you don’t have to do anything else: the DETAIL inspiration trial subscription automatically renews as a DETAIL inspiration monthly subscription once the trial month has ended.

Not happy with the database despite its many benefits? That’s a pity! But you can cancel the trial subscription at any point during the trial month.

What payment options are available?

Accepted payment methods include:

invoice, credit card, PayPal

How and when will my login be activated?

You will be granted access to the database once your address details have been verified, usually after 1-2 working days. We will inform you by email as soon as your login has been activated.

What happens if I have entered incorrect address details or none at all?

If no or incorrect address details are provided when ordering, then we will unfortunately not be able to process your subscription.

Do I need different login information for the online shop and the database?

You can use the same login (email address and password) for both the DETAIL online shop and the DETAIL inspiration database.

Your login details can only be used on one device at a time.

I cannot log in. Why might that be?

Check that the email address and password have been entered correctly and whether the Caps Lock (upper case key) is activated. If you copy-and-paste the password, make sure that you do not copy any spaces.

It often helps to clear the browser cache, as cached data can lead to login problems.

I have not received any login information. Why might that be?

Please check that the login information is not in your spam folder. If you still have not received it, contact [email protected] for new login information.

I have forgotten my password. What can I do?

If you have forgotten your password, you can request a new one in the login area of the DETAIL Online Shop.: https://shop.detail.de/auto/

For your own protection, your password must be at least 8 characters long and should contain both special characters and upper and lower case letters.

How can I change my password?

You can change your password at any time via your online shop account.

These changes will then also apply to DETAIL inspiration.

Please wait a few minutes after changing your password so that the login information can be synchronised.

How can I protect my password?

For your own security, you should choose a password that contains both special characters and upper and lower case letters. Choose different passwords for different accounts that are not easy to guess and change your password regularly.

What do I do if my personal information has changed?

Should your personal information change (e.g. new address), please let us know with an email to [email protected]. Changes you make to your address in the shop will not automatically apply to your subscriptions.

How can I cancel my subscription?

Unconvinced of DETAIL inspiration despite its many benefits? What a pity! But of course you can cancel your subscription. It is important that you cancel in writing.

The DETAIL inspiration annual subscription is valid for at least 1 year. The subscription will be renewed for a further year if not cancelled at least 6 weeks before the subscription period ends.

The DETAIL inspiration monthly subscription is valid for at least 1 calendar month. The subscription will be renewed for a further month if not cancelled at least 7 days before the subscription period ends.

Do I have a right of revocation?

Please note that a separate right of revocation applies for digital content. See point 3 of “Right of withdrawal for contracts for the provision of digital content (access to the details database)”, available here https://shop.detail.de/auto/revocation.
